Jeff Taylor is a pharmacist and academic with interest in OTCs and minor ailments in community pharmacy. He works in a local pharmacy 2 hours per week just doing OTC consults, where he uses a tablet with clinical visuals to enhance the patient experience.

He has authored chapters for the Canadian self-care text and has presented at conferences on this issue. Committee responsibilities have included the Nonprescription Medicines Academy (USA), the Scientific Advisory Committee on Nonprescription Drugs (Health Canada), and the Canadian Drug Scheduling Advisory Committee (Vice-Chair and Chair).

Taylor has 30 years of experience teaching minor ailments. Research has focused on consumers interfacing with pharmacists for minor ailments, how often the public interacts, reasons for not asking for help, the art and science of OTC counselling, and how side effects might impact drug selection. Of late, he evaluated the Sask Minor Ailments Program for its economic value and assorted clinical outcomes.
